BTC post install

I finished installing BTC on my 94GSR, and I reset the timing to the stock 16 BTDC, and turn the knob fully to the minimum (all the way to the left) and I don't hear any knocking and it feels strong at all rev range

I am not complaining, just wondering if I installed it properly or not. I followed the wiring instructions at the ECM (ECU) as mentioned on the various posting on this hostboard and tap the vacuum at the OEM FPR.

Am I lucky or stupid ?.......

Well, if the car runs like it did before the BTC at the 12 oclock position, then you did it right, if you installed it incorrectly, it would run like crap when boost hits!

you did it right!

Yeah, that's what happened on my car too. I don't hear any knock/ping even when setting the BTC at zero. My car is a '95 GSR.

Well I got the J&S back in and it is functioning correctly as fasr as I could tell. Unfortunately it still picks up a lot of noise so I think I will be turning the sensitivity down. I will work on it more when it gets warmer during the week and I get rid of my cold. Then I will be able to see if there is detonation when it is turned down.
